Do You Need a Media Player for Digital Signage?
You may not necessarily need a digital signage media player. If you have a smart TV running an operating system such as:
- Samsung Tizen
- LG webOS
- Android TV
- Google TV
Then your display likely has support for the Nimbus 808 client directly, and you won’t need a separate media player.
However, if you have a different smart TV OS, or a non-smart TV, you’ll likely need an external media player. This will either be an HDMI dongle (like the Amazon Fire Stick) or a dedicated digital signage PC.
