How to Set Up Nimbus 808 to Display on a Web Browser

This guide will walk you through setting up your Nimbus 808 digital signage content to display on a web browser.

Before You Begin

To follow along with this guide, you’ll need:

  • A digital media player with a web browser, an internet connection, and a display.
  • A Nimbus 808 account
  • Access to the Nimbus 808 web dashboard (this can be on the same device as the browser)

Tutorial

Step 1: Register your Browser as a Device

Navigate to the “Display” tab of the Nimbus 808 dashboard. It will list out all of the options you have for registering a new display, and at the end, you’ll see the URL to enter into your display browser. This url will be: <your domain>.nb808.com/pair. Let’s navigate to this URL in your display device’s web browser.

Once you navigate to your pairing URL, you’ll get a pairing code to enter in your Nimbus 808 dashboard.

Now, we move back to our Nimbus808 dashboard. Navigate to the “Displays” tab, and click “Register Display Player”

We’ll enter the pairing code that was provided to us from the pairing URL, and we’ll enter a display name, and click “Approve” to finish registering the display.

Once you’ve paired up your device, your browser is registered!

Step 2: Create Your Content

This guide assumes you don’t have any displays or playlists created in Nimbus yet. If you already have content in Nimbus, feel free to skip to step 3!

To create a new design, navigate to the “Designs” tab, and add a new Design.

In the editor, drag and drop widgets from the left bar into your screen display. For your first design, let’s try a short headline and a single image, to make sure everything is working.

Before moving on, make sure to go into the design settings, and ensure that the resolution of your design matches the resolution of your final display.

Step 3: Publish

Once you have your device registered and your content made, you can publish your content to your registered display in 1 of 2 ways:

Publishing from the Design Editor

In the design editor, you’ll simply want to click the “Assign to Displays” button, and select your browser display.

Publishing from the Display Screens

From the “Displays” tab of the Nimbus 808 dashboard, you can publish your content by selecting the rocket icon within the card for your display.

Alternatively, in the “Configuration” page of your display, you can click the “Select Content” button and choose the content you want to display.

Conclusion

From here, your content from Nimbus 808 should be displaying on your web browser!
