How to Set Up Nimbus808 on Android TV Device
This quick guide will walk you through installing the Nimbus808 Android TV app and getting your display up and running in no time.
Before You Begin
Before setting up your Android TV device, make sure you have:
- An Android TV or Google TV device connected to the internet
- A Google account signed into the Google Play Store
- A free Nimbus808 account
- Access to the Nimbus808 web dashboard
Set Up
Step 1: Plug in and setup the Android TV device
On your Android TV, you’ll want to start by opening the Google Play Store
Search for “Nimbus808” in the search bar of the play store
Then install the Nimbus808 app to your Android TV.
Once the installation is complete, open the app.
Step 2: Pair and Configure Your Display
When you open Nimbus808 for the first time, use your remote to select the “Pair” button.
This will take you to the pairing screen where you’ll see a unique code and QR code you can then use to pair your display to your Nimbus808 account.
On your computer or mobile device, sign into your Nimbus account and navigate to the “Displays” tab and select “Register Display”.
Now enter the code on your display, name your display, and click “Approve”
Your Android TV is now linked to your account.
Step 4: Publish to Your Screen
Once you have your device registered and your content made, you can publish your content to your registered display in 1 of 2 ways:
Publishing from the Design Editor
In the design editor, you’ll simply want to click the “Assign to Displays” button, and select your browser display.
Publishing from the Display Screens
From the “Displays” tab of the Nimbus 808 dashboard, you can publish your content by selecting the rocket icon within the card for your display.
Alternatively, in the “Configuration” page of your display, you can click the “Select Content” button and choose the content you want to display.
