In this article we are connecting a Robustel R3000-4L Router to Nimbus MQTT solution platform.
Learn how to set up the Robustel R3000-4L Router to send/receive data over Nimbus808
Requirements:
- Robustel R3000-4L Router
- Nimbus808 Account
This guide assumes that you have internet access on your Robustel router, and have downloaded and installed the MQTT plugin from the E2C app store.
Robustel Configuration
- Navigate to the graphical user interface of the Robustel router
- Login with an Administrator account
Enabling MQTT
This guide assumes that you have downloaded the necessary MQTT plugin from the E2C app store and uploaded it to your Robustel router
- Navigate to Edge2Cloud tab
- Click E2C MQTT
- Enable MQTT under General Settings
- Enter in the following credentials:
- Hostname of Nimbus808 instance into Remote Server
- Port of Nimbus808 instance into Remote Port
Configuring MQTT’s Topic Settings
- Configure Robustel to send data to Nimbus808
- Enter in a topic into Publish Topic section
- Configure Robustel to receive data from Nimbus808
- Enter in a topic into Subscribe Topic section
Validate MQTT Connection
- Set a Birth Topic and a Birth Message
- Restart MQTT on the graphical user interface and observe Birth Topic’s message.
