Devices are physical devices configured to exchange data with Nimbus808, like a PLC that can publish and subscribe to messages on the broker of the Nimbus808 domain. Devices must support MQTT.
The Devices table lists the configured devices that have been added to the Nimbus808 domain.
Device Name: Device name.
Device Description: Description of the device.
Client Id: The client ID is the unique identifier for a device (PLC/HMI) that is typically set up within the devices’ software. Once the client ID is placed in this field then the dashboard can properly determine if it is connected or disconnected. Device status is only available when this is correctly filled.
Connected: A checkmark in the column indicates that a device with in the given Client ID is currently connected to the broker.
Edit: Make edits to the Device name, description, and/or Client ID description.
Delete: Removes the device from your dashboard. This will also remove all tags associated with the device, as well as, remove the device from any associated project.
